Just returned from two days in the orchard at WEO, with 3 other fig-nazis. My camera has been downloading new pix for an hour and is not done.

It was an unusual year, weather wise, which has lead to a much smaller harvest than normal, and a late start date for ripening (about 10 days ago), but still a very productive trip.

I'm sure you had a good time, sorry I wasn't able to join you. 

No, the replant has not happened, yet. Supposedly this Fall or Next Spring.

Jon, thank you for allowing me to tag alone.  I had a wonderful time!  Everything you mentioned about the trip was so true!  That first day, I ate so many figs that my belly started to ache!  The next day I had to pace myself and slow down.  Your instructions back to the hotel and airport were spot on!

For those who could not make it, all I can say is WOW....you missed a treat!  I took a bunch of picture and some videos of the Black Ischia and other tree.  I'll post some pics sometime this weekend.  You can count me in on the trip for next year!  I did learn a lot about figs.  cheers!
