Hello everyone ..   I'm new here only have been growing figs for two years now .. Just stumbled on these forums recently ... Currently growing a few more standard varieties Chicago Hardy and Brown Turkey .. Located in CT  Looking to expand my collection and have found this site was wondering if anyone has ordered from them in the past ? And if they are legitimate to their names ? I did place a small order supposed to be here this fall .. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them ?  Thanks in advance and loving all the information im gathering here on the site hope to talk with more of you guys soon !

uh...yeah...that's kind of a touchy subject around here.

To answer your question, yes, several forum members have ordered from there and the feedback has not been positive, that's all i'm saying about that.

I would avoid ordering anything from there.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you are late searching info on GFG. He has delivered some cuttings but he has sold thousands of trees that haven't been delivered.

For your information here's 1421 posts in one thread on the subject

http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/7-fig-trees-for-springsummer-delivery-around-150-varieties-7844910?highlight=james&pid=1295688790

Edit: others beat me to it, but I'll leave this here anyway.

This is James' business, see http://www.figcuttings.com/
Then do a search for "$7 fig trees" on this forum and check those threads for more info.
He started with a great idea, then had way too many orders over the past 2 years, got super delayed and as far as I know he is no longer answering calls or emails. The rest is in the related threads, I have no order placed so it doesn't affect me.
I would say do yourself a favor and when time comes, order from Encanto Farms (http://encantofarms.com/) or Harvey's Correia Farms (http://figaholics.com) or check your local nursery or big box store for local varieties.
Hope this helps.

Stay completely away dude!!

My 2-cents, mostly for newbies to remember...in a nutshell:
Scammers change their tactics (e.g. name changes) and are always a
few steps ahead their trusting figsters.
One very notorious one has NOT changed. Why? Because it's still working.
He grooms targeted buyers with "gifts" like a few
extra cuttings, filling plant order promptly to win your trust, then baits you with
offers too good to be true. This professional scammer will NEVER have way too many orders
since there is no intention to fill them! It's been 2-years with no relief in sight.
