Any chance getting couple of cuttings

Hi.,

I want desperately to find a source where I can get two or three cuttings of the real Sal's Corleone fig. It must be from that tree only. I want to get on to grow so I can give it to a good friend of mine (distant relative) whose both parents came from that town. As of now he is only slightly interested in figs but I just no if I presented him one with the name Corleone written on the tub he would immediately get interested in growing figs at least that one. I received word two weeks ago and he had a sunroom attached to his home so he would have the perfect place to grow it while young.

I am willing to pay a reasonable price for the cuttings and the shipping as well. Their is one hell of a GOOD guy that we all know who uses these forums that said he would send me cuttings but his tree is very young at this point in time. I rather get them from someone who has an established tree so there would be little chance hurting his tree.

If I have a shot email me at pezzuti@verizon.net

Thanks for your time just for reading this.

I don't sell the trees I get to propagate. For years I gave many away to a whole lot of people and will continue doing that if I see that someone really wants one and I have it on hand at the time.

Thanks

Hi Lou,

If you don't get any replies from someone with a mature tree
I will be more than Glad to start you a little airlayer next spring

IT WOULD be my pleasure my friend.

That is a wonderful gesture, Cecil.

That was very nice of Cecil to make that offer. He is a great guy with a good sense of humor.  I did write him telling him why it would be better for me to try to get them going through the winter months.

I should have mentioned in the first thread I wrote that if I was sent a couple of cuttings seeing that I only need one plant I would be willing to send the others or other if they catch back to the person who sent them to me. I would try to get them to develope a good root system before sending them back. I don't want it for myself because I believe from what I have read they are to late to be practical in my zone 5 area.

Lou
