Any idea what fig tree variety?

I went around my city and got some cuttings from a fig tree that i know has been there way over 20 years (#2 photo). The leaves are all the same ad the photo.

The other fig is one my husband discovered and I took cuttings last month...the leaf with jagged edges (#1 photo).

Any ideas?

Thx
Meg

The leaves in pic #1 remind me of Longue d'Aout/Niagra Black.  The fruit from those varieties is rather unique and that would help to establish an ID.

Not sure how much you can tell from a leaf given leaves can vary so much depending on the growing culture and environment.

But I love guessing games so pic 2 leaf shape looks like a beat up version of forastera de c'an revue.

Rewton, glad you could give me your opinion!  I have tried to grow this cutting for some time.  It is a tree that has been chopped down many times.  It's on the side of a school parking lot that shares a wall with a home. The home does not have a fig tree growing but the stump is so close to the wall that it almost looks like it was once part of that property especially since schools don't plant fig trees AND the fact that it has been chopped down.  I will go back this fall to harvest lignified wood...if there is is any on the stump to be cut.  But I am so very curious about this one.  The leaves are very interesting in my opinion.

Pino, wow!!  I looked up the fig name you guessed and those pictures actually do resemble my fig.  I just posted the pictures yesterday on a separate thread hoping someone would attempt to guess...you may be on to something!!!  please look at my second thread and let me know what you think.  Thanks!
