last year i got it on march. 29th or something like that. i think some got it in feb, and others not till april.

When did you place the order? I tried in November and was too late for the second year.

You can place your order today for next year. Why wait till it's too late?

My order went in on July 20th I think.  I"m hopeful that I'll get a bunch of my requests and that I'll fail to kill them.

Is there an easy how-to guide for finding and order cuttings from UCDavis?  I went to the UC Davis products and services page, but am completely lost on there.

Select the one you want. If it is available there will be a link that says  request this germplasm. Click on it it will put it in your cart. Follow the directions from there.

Some of us have a wishlist that is constantly changing and have a hard time committing to an order early in the year.  I usually wait until the last few days as well.  I did not realize the deadline had changed.  So what was early for me turned out to bee too late for them.  I'm okay with this (actually kind of happy) since I decided to concentrate more on improving the soil in the field and I ended up with more cuttings than I was hoping for already. 

Best wishes for great propagation success to all who will be getting UCD orders this year.  I'll be waiting for my order (with Sal and others) in 2014.

I've received orders in March and April, but never before.  I already have my order planned for next year, and I usually place it in May or June.

In short, UC Davis does not grow figs nor ship out cuttings.  The USDA does grow figs on land it leases from UC Davis and the USDA does ship out cuttings of figs and other species in its collection.  Just a bit of an information campaign I've started. ;)
