but have not tasted or if it is cold hardy.

Bob, thanks for the link and your description. Mine has about
25 figs and I would think they will start ripening pretty soon.
I got it last year from Joe M. and it looks to be a 3-4 year old tree
and it is really a good looking tree.

I also got one from Joe this year . It has a few figs maybe 15 or so, I'm looking forward to trying them.

talked to joe today. he said they were good and is shipping me one.
please mike and joe, tell me what you think of them tastewise

thanks mike. i hadn't read to the end. this fills me with hope. i actually got it because he said it had no visible  signs of fmv. i was actually looking at the san pietro, but on his assurence got this instead. can't imagine what a fig tasting of blueberry tastes like, but sounds awesome.

@ Mike   I have a Black Triana that I got from Joe. I planted it in ground last year and got a couple breba and a few main crop figs. So far it is my best tasting fig. IMO it blows my Hardy Chicago away in flavor by far without a doubt.  I covered the tree for winter and this year it's really doing good with a breba that is close to being ripe enough to pick. We've had alot of rain and it's still holding up without any splitting so far. This year the breba is larger than last year and I can only hope that the main crop will be larger too. I like it so much that I'm doing some air layers to plant more in ground. Chances are you won't be disappointed.

Tony, thanks for that info. That is what I wanted to hear. I will be airlayering
mine tomorrow and my big one will go in the ground. It should do well here
with some good mulch.

Just picked a Black Triana breba, it could of stayed on a few more days but it's going to raining in a few hours and I'm leaving for work. I figured the rain might dilute the taste. It's very juicy, sweet with a melon flavor. If I could only have one tree this would be the one. I got two more breba on it with one just starting to change color. We're suppose to have a stretch of dry weather with sunny days so hopefully the next one can stay on and develop an even sweeter taste. Not to sound like a Valley girl but OMG was that fig good!

Is this a more uncommon variety? This is the first I can recall hearing about it (not that I've been around the forums very long). Sounds like another one that will go on the wish list.

Mike I have 4 in 5 gallon pots. They are older trees. I water every day and it's been a very very wet year here. My brebas didn't split from the rain. All 4 trees are just loaded with figs so I'll get a good idea if they are prone to splitting. As far as cold hardy -- I take mine in so I can't help on that one. 
Taste-wise = very nice.
