Anybody can told me about 13figger,ebatihk?

Well I'm screwed 13 figger and ebatihk are the same. The varieties, font size and wording is all the same. Lesson learned

This is description from ebatihk... barada fig cuttings great fig message me for questions.

And this from 13 figger.Jolly tiger fig cuttings, each cutting has healthy buds. Message me with any questions that you have. these were written in sane font size the language in all the listings for both of then is the same.

Just finalized it. Both sellers have fig cutting pictures on the same piece of cardboard.

HARVY. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING about. Were did he get pink Jerusalem. You think he picked it out his butt. Get your facts straight before you start fig drama. Some people just dont know when to stop and say they were wrong! !!
.

Richard, you are wrong.  He doesn't have any of the varieties he claims to be selling.  Period.  I suggest you buy 5 different varieties and grow them side by side and report back when they are all fruiting.

I have no interest in this thread, it has spiraled out of control.

My questions are simple.

Do you know the seller?
Are you the seller?
If the answers to the above questions are no, then why would anyone defend a stranger on the internet so fearsly?
Does any know for a fact, have been there in person and identified the cultivars in questions?
Why would we assume this seller is not lieing (there is a lot of liers out there)?
Why not believe a long time very respected forum member whom it's only trying to help people not get taken?

Ebay sellers are constantly proven to be frauds, then change their names and start over.   Did you know they buy their own auctions so they can write reviews about themselves?  They bid on their own actions to run the price up.

The whole thing seems like holcomb to me, I would rather pay more and get my (whatever) from a known repitable source.

I do hope for everyone's sake that the items are legit, but sadly I rather doubt they are.

I will not be back on this thread so don't bother responding to me, I posted this only for people contemplate.

I just want to thank Harvey, Scott (even though he will not be back in this thread), and other forum members that have helped me be more aware of how to better determine a legit eBay seller versus a scammer.  I know that it will never be a 100% sure thing, but I do feel I am more educated now.

Dont think people should be accused when the dont know 100 % sure that someone a lier thats all. Have have address from were it was mailed and tracked it from were it was mailed. Very very close to bass's house. Thats what makes me believe this man. Why would bass sit and let someone use his names to sell and not warn anyone. The addres is righ down from trees of joy.

Richard, I would encourage you to listen to Harvey. He has been this for a lot longer than most people on the forum, myself included. Just be cautious, there are many people out there looking to make a quick buck. There is a reason Bass's cuttings are selling for so much more: his provenence is trusted.

After getting too many questions being asked if I was the seller or if I'm dealing with the seller of sellers maybe I should jump in.
I've been collecting, evaluating and photographing figs for many years and selling on eBay and via my website for the past 10-12 years and have customers coming back year after year and run reputable nursery.
I am not that seller and did not give him any of my varieties. I am not sure what he has.

Bass got the final word....
Harvey was right...
It took me years(2) to figure out that a cheap Ronde de Bordeaux from ebay turns out to be a yellow fig and a Panache fig turns out to be a black fig....
Happy gardening !!

Brutal, why anyone would chase these exotic's on ebay while
so much is available for practically free here is beyond me.

2 words:  Fig Fever

Seriously, though some 'exotics' are not really available here, why would new growers feel they need those?  Realistically, especially for us relative newcomers, there is not a need for the latest and greatest.  I was able to get for relatively little money about 30 different cutting varieties last year all through this forum, and have 23 so far to root this year (more than I was intending and Jon's offer has not come out yet!).  There have been so many offers for cuttings in the last few months made by the generous fig growers here!

There will be time in the future for me to think about the CdDs, Maltese varieties and Rimadas, etc, after I get accomplished at rooting these things.

I would never buy on eBay without having some level of trust for the seller, after spending time on this forum and realizing the scam artists out there.

Well thanks guys for the heads up.....when something is to good to be true, it usually is

He responded..

Sorry HARVEY. I AM APOLOGIZING FOR NOT BELIEVING YOUR GOOD WORD. I BELIEVED THESE TWO BOYS BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THERE ARE FAMILY WITH BASS. THATS ALL I WILL SAY ABOUT THEM and bass. Enough damage has been done. I am truly sorry

No problem, Richard.  Let's move on and let's be careful hunting out there.

Yes after putting all puzzle pieces together now we got the clear picture ! THEY ARE SCAMMERS !!!!!!!

I feel really broken over defending these two kids. Sorry for being a ass. Thanks. I will learn from this. I am moving forward and enjoying this forum again.

I usually treat and label any cuttings bought or received from an non-established and reputable source as unknowns.

1-877-325-9239 this is ebays number. I opened a claim and i suggest you all do too. This is fraud.

He refunded me. No explanations

I also have been refunded also.

Do you guys think they are scammers ?
And if so , why they refunded some of their customers ? !!
I'm so confused here , but I haven't reported to ebay yet.

If a buyer files a claim with eBay, the seller has two options:
1. Refund the purchase and the case is closed.
2. Let eBay review the facts and eBay will decide the merits of the claim.  If eBay agrees with the buyer, they will withdraw the funds from the seller's PayPal account or credit card or bank account linked to the seller's account and refund the purchase.  This can take 30 days.

Option 1 gets the claim settled fastest.  The seller's eBay account is likely to be closed if there are several outstanding claims at the same time.
