anybody in Colorado has an extra fig plant

Hello all,

I am new to this forum. I live in Colorado, Denver area. I like to grow several warm-climate plants in my greenhouse. I grew up in Italy, so I would like to add a fig plant to my collection. I have not found one in any nursery locally.
Is there anybody in Colorado who has an extra plant (in a pot) that he/she would be willing to part from? If not, can you suggest a seller on Ebay?
I don't even have a good idea of how much they go for. Are they expensive?

Thank you so much

Hi Chuck,

I just sent you a private message.

Thank you so much

Where did you grow up in Italy? I collect trees from different areas of Italy , from Sicily to all the way north of Bolzano and everything in between,I may have something close to where you come from , I can ship you one when it gets cooler just for the cost of shipping ( I was born near Teramo grew up in Ascol Piceno, )

Mario,

I was born in Croatia, on the island of Krk, on the other side of the Adriatic and not too far north from Teramo latitude wise. The figs on both sides of the Adriatic frequently are either the same or share a common ancestry. Many times I have heard folks say that figs attributed to having come from Croatia had Italian origins. With the border between Italy and Croatia having been fairly fluid historically and with the historic reach and impact of Roman culture across that landscape and down into the Holy lands, nothing surprises me as far as that is concerned. What fig varieties do you have in your collection that hail from the Adriatic area?

Thanks,
Tony

If you aren't picky about the variety, I can help. PM me if interested.
