anyone buy from ebay seller: bidbid73?

I'm looking at trees on ebay and seller bidbid73 on ebay (c2meang on F4F) says that he has gotten cuttings from F4F members and lists someone named Marius, and someone named GM as people he got cuttings from.  All of his trees seem to be hard to find varieties and most of them run between $9 and $15.  I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with him and is he reputable?  Any info is appreciated.

PS.  Just wanted to clarify....I'm not suggesting he isn't legit.  I'm just extremely careful about buying on ebay.

the seller is a member here, and some how he is an active member, and the names he listed, Marius and GM,are for Fig celebrity sellers , that are well known on the forum and members of this forum, they have more fig Varieties than I have hair...
those numbers you are reading at the moment are starting Bids, or current Bids, again not the final price, I am also looking at some of his trees, and will try to buy some.
Mark

Thanks, Mark.  I see by one of his auctions that the bids will probably get pretty high.  I will watch them and see if I can afford/win one...  =)

Jules, Marius and GM both excellent members and Ebay
sellers. I have not bought from c2meang

That's me. :-). If you look at my previous buyer feedbacks you will see that I bought many cuttings from eBay. Almost all are from reputable sellers (George, Marius, Hermansur to name a few). Most made it. So I'm trying to get some of my money back by selling my duplicates. I've traded or given away some of the cuttings/plants here as well.

Side note: All plants that I'm selling on eBay are not from trades or gifts from any members here.

Thanks, Mike.  Peter, I am watching your auctions now and hoping the bids don't go to high for me to win one or two.  You have some great varieties.  =)

Why don't you have any pictures of the fruit posted on ebay?

I think he just said that all his trees are young and from cuttings, so no fruits yet.

After reading these comments, talking to a few members, and after talking with him, I would not hesitate to buy from him.

Peter, I just received the Marseilles Black VS that I won a few days ago, and I am thrilled with it! Two day shipping is the way to go, it barely looks traveled.

Pete has bought some trees from me and we have corresponded back and forth about figs and such. I am very confident you will get what you are bidding on.

Thanks everyone for your comments.  I have bid on 2 of Peter's auctions and can't wait to see if I win.  =)

Tamar - I'm thrilled to know the plant made it just fine. I hope it will do well for you.
Jason - Thank you for the kind words.
Jules - Best of luck. :-)

I'm still experimenting with my packing method. If you bought a plant from me and have problems with my packing/shipping or have any tips to improve my method please do let me know.

You can trust Peter. Last year, he bought some cuttings that I had on eBay. He is an honest person.

Navid.

Thank you Navid! Btw, I haven't forgotten about you. :-)

I'm sure most of his offerings are legit but the one I want is definitely fake so don't any of the rest of you bid on it.  ;)

Don't worry. I'll send you my super rare brown turkey Bob. :-)

Bob, LOL...I should have thought of that for the one I bid on today.  I've bid on 2 more, hopefully neither is the one you want.  =)

I want to add my 2 cents about ebay seller bidbid73 since I just received cuttings from him today.  Peter (c2meang) ships lovely cuttings--and they are prepared beautifully.  Ends are sealed with wax, then cuttings are wrapped in plastic and sealed in a plastic bag.  They were placed inside 2 bubble envelopes for shipping and a bonus cutting (different variety) was also enclosed.  I am thrilled with my purchase and I'd definitely buy from Peter again.

I've dealt with him, he's legit.

I should say that I've bid on (and lost) lots of Peter's cuttings and I've dealt with him in other ways and I trust him or I wouldn't have bid.  He's a really nice guy and I owe him a Stella which is buried in my garage.  He's been nice about it.

Hi Peter, I must say, the cuttings you sent me last week ,from E-bay, came beautifully packaged. I was impressed. Thank you, Elizabeth.
