Anyone Else Have This Problem

when you click on one of our threads it opens up  in the middle or bottom of the page instead of the top?

It just started doing this recently and it does not do it on any other sites.

Yes. I believe it "remembers" what you have read in a thread. When you open a thread, it skips the part you have read, and goes straight to the top of the part you haven't read.

I have not experienced that.

However, recently I have observed that the 'yellow' color tag for new/unread
post(s) only functions when one is 'logged-in' to F4F/FF - a good thing...

i think it's a "feature" and not a problem : )

Mike, same experience going on here. Been doing that for a week or so now. I dont seem to mind but was wondering the same thing you are.

Agreed.  Vbulletin uses a button that can be clicked on to go to the latest new post since one has last visited the thread and I've missed that feature here but it is automatic now.  It's a good thing.

Well, I guess if its a permanent thing then I will learn to  like it. LoL :)

yes I have that happen to me too... it's not going to the beginning of the thread... this site needs service ;) an UPGRADE.

Mike,

I noticed this "feature" earlier on the IPad.  I thought it was a problem as well.  Now that I am logged in on my PC, the "feature" remembers the settings from one device to another.

It seems to go to the first post created AFTER your last visit to the thread.

Does it?  I've notice that the read/unread flags have always been device specific.  Have they fixed that too and tied it to the login?  I haven't noticed yet.

To answer my own question, apparently they have.  Now the read/unread flags match between PC and phone.  Before they were independent.  I like that!  I like this feature of automatically going to first unread post, now that I know it's really doing it right across devices.

That is what first caught my attention.  When I started Firefox on my PC earlier today, some of the threads at the top (including this one) were marked as read, despite my PC being turned off since before it was posted.

It's happening to me too.
