Thanks friends! I will check it out. I'm in central Alabama. I've had good luck with shipping from all over America so far.

if you must have cutting right now, jon at encanto might be able to help or number of this forum members who are selling their cuttings on ebay.

if you can wait a little, buy a plant online and participate in the forum for awhile. there will be number of request and offers coming up towards the fall of every year and jon will list cuttings for 2013 from his nursery early next year.

also, if you want, you can order cuttings from UC Davis during the fall of this year.

black madeira is tough one from what i heard. expensive and hard to grow. but taste from what i have heard, if you can grow it till it fruits, is all worth the effort.

panache might be easier to get.

yes, i'm a piper. haven't played for last 10 years and just joined a band back in feb. we'll be up at loch norman game this sat.

I'm in the ISMPB. We're not going to Loch Norman this year, but we are going to Maryville.

i'm with wake and district grade iv band. maryville is not on the list.. but we only compete 5 times a year. lot of things we do are mostly service based.. and st. paddy's day.

here is the link to our competition dates and locations. if you make it to one of the games on the list, let me know. i'll get you one of the cuttings i'm rooting right now. more than likely either ischia white or calvert. they are doing rather well this year.

Wow Pete! Wake &District, that's a great band! We enjoyed getting to meet you guys for the past two years at Stone Mountain. That's the only game we have in common, I think. When we were both Grade V we were the only two bands in all black. Hey, here's to a great season and good luck at Loch Norman. Hope you guys get first place.
