Anyone use 1 mil Uline bags for rooting? Or 1 mil plastic for anything else

I can't imagine they'd be that bad.  They're half the price and shipping weight of the 2 mil and since I use the 12" it saves a lot.  As long as they don't crack easily they should be fine.  Any one with any experience?

I use 2 mil 4"x8". I got some samples of 1 mil and i don`t like them they are to thin and they are bending and touching the cuttings which causes rotting.

I've had that problem with the 2 mil bags.  The solution is to either fill the bottom before putting the fig in or fold the top down so the top end of the cutting sits just barely above the top of the bag and fill the bag to the top with a layer of spagnum.  This keeps the bag open and prevents spills should the bag tip over.

Sorry to interrupt but cant find the tutorial on rooting in bags. Can anyone hook me up?

Here's all the tutorials across the top.  To see the one refered to here click on the 'new alternative technique' link.

Best is what rcantor posted but can find additional information here:

Thanks to both to you.
