I have received so many cuttings from members here it's hard for me to imagine a nicer group of people! I don't have any figs that I can take cuttings from yet, but I do have others. I am in the process of training my trees to a trellis so I need to rejuvenate them. I have cut some scion to share. If you have any scion from my wish list below I would love to trade, if not, just covering the shipping will be fine. Here is a list of the scion and the quantity I have available. I would like to send at least 2 sticks of each variety. The buds are starting to swell a little on the Elephant Heart so I don't know if they will be okay. Dang Rhonda! When is the apple tasting party at your house this fall? I have never heard of most of them.  I had apple trees at the last two house I lived in, not sure what kind, I didn't plant them but they were all good. What do you do about the apple borer we get? I don't know the proper name, I just know it is some sort of grub that bores the center of the apple and eats the seeds, then exits the bottom of the apple when it's developed. I never did any sort of spraying, I would just take a bite and look at the apple where I bit it before chewing. If there were tunnels..spit it out, no tunnels..commence chewing.

Calvin, those borers are codling moth larvae. You can spay for them or use bags on the apples. Some people use a ziploc bag, a footie, or a tule bag like they put rice in at weddings.

Thanks. I use apple maggot bags(which are footies) on my nectarines to keep the wasps, bees, and stink bugs off. They actually work really well on figs also to keep off wasps and fruit flys.

I do not have any rootstock. I have to buy trees, but I'm in for the tasting.

Milehighgirl- looks like some awesome apple varieties. A couple of them are on my to try list. I will try to send you an email this weekend once I'm caught up on life!
