I'm sure some of you have read this article on Adriano Ferreira and his figs but I haven't seen it posted here so enjoy:http://edibletoronto.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=204:fig-fetishists-&catid=75
Nice article, thanks Steve.
If you like this, you should buy Steven Biggs book "Grow figs where you think you can't" A must have for any "fig pig" as he calls his fellow fig collectors. He is a great guy and you'll be able to relate to many of things he says. The pictures are awesome I stared and stared as if they were fine pieces of artwork.
Thanks .
Thanks, Steve, nice article!
Thanks Steve, that was a great read
I have often wondered about his self-named variety Adriano. He apparently does not sell outside Canada and I do not recall seeing anyone in the US selling this variety. Does anyone have experience with it here in America? Is it as good as he claims?Kyle
wow!?
Autographed copy - nice! I was aware of that book but was thinking in my zone I should be able to get away without using all those tricks. Then again, last night it got down to about 52 degrees F so I might want to re-think that.
Wow it worked. A first for me:)
I had Adriano fig, I didn't much care for it, so it got left outside in winter and died. Tough skin and didn't taste good for me.
Thanks Dan. Never heard of Steven Biggs, I must be way out of touch. Super nice video, great info, a must for northern regions. Good info for all of us. Thanks again Dan.
