Ask how to grow Rimada ?

Hi !! dear figs friend..

If anyone who are growing or having information about Martinenca Rimada please help

I will got a cutting in a few day, they said that this variety come from an Island  and very slow to take growth progressive so I would like to know

1. what kind of soils its like ?

2. what conditions (temperature, wind, sun, moisture etc.) its like ?

3. anyone who have picture please share !

thanks.

Your worst enemy is water. See what other experienced figger say. I seen where mr pons sticks them in soil at a slant but it was just a pic because i cant read spanish. Good luck

I have four of them in fridge that i received that i have been waiting to root because of fear of failure. So i k ow how you feel. Lets see what others say. My best way is fill pot with good fast draining water put cutting in 2/3 of the way down and keep in green house. But there is about 50 other ways to do it!! Lol. I live in the south so depending were you lives plays a major factor richie

I've posted photos before, I have Martinenca Rimada growing in ProMix HP and it had grown well, not what I would say is a slow grower.  I had planted it and three other figs in the ground in an area where none thrived (maybe due to a well that was drilled nearby and the effects of soil removed from the ground?), so it went back in a pot late this summer until I decide where to plant it next.
