Ate my first "Peter's Honey"

Man, this Fig is delicious, now I know why alot of members here love them! If you don't have it, get it, you will not regret it! So proud, I have one in my yard! :)

I have an Italian Honey I'm hoping will produce similar results.  Glad you found a keeper, Frank!

You know the rules.  You are supposed to post a pic so we can all drool.  ;-)

I don't have that variety, but I noticed a huge drop of honey on a soft, but not yet ready Alma.  I WILL post a photo.  It will be my first taste ever of Alma, but Frank, exactly why was your fig so delish?  Sweet, rich, honey, nutty, berry?

Suzi, I guess to my uneducated taste buds, it was a sweet, honey and a very rich taste....I sure loved it! ;)

Will post photos from now on Suzi : )

Thanks! Frank, hopefully yours as good as this one! :)

Frank, we will never know if my Alma is as good as your Peter's Honey.  I was really surprised today to spot the sun shining on that Alma honey drip.  Caught my eye, like a diamond.  I tested the fig and it did have a droop and softness, but a tug did nothing.  Not quite ripe.

Suzi

Suzi, your patience will be rewarded.  Just like tomatoes, if picked before the full ripeness the full potential is compromised.   I hope you enjoy it as much as Frankallen enjoyed his fig.

Frank, congrats on your 1st Peter's Honey fig. Purchased Peter's Honey cuttings from eBay about a month ago and they're currently leafing out beautifully.

Hi Frank.
I agree with you, I have mine about four years and We love it!
Vito

Peter's Honey is a good fig looks similar to Kadota. Happy that you are happy with this variety.

I have them just not old enough to fruit, I hope I love them too, thanks for the info.
