Finally I get to contribute back to the fine folks here. Thanks to all for your help. My second ripe atreano fig pictures are attached (the first fig was picked a little too early). The heat thIs week has at least 7 figs swollen and starting to droop. I decided to pick this based on how dented it was looking. I know others said it would get deep banana yellow when ripe so I will try and let some others sit. Since I have no other fresh fig taste to really compare it to, take the taste description with a grain of salt. Very sweet, light berry taste, slight melon hint.

Also pictured is the rest of tonight's dessert haul.

Congrats and thanks for sharing. Just purchased Atreano cuttings from eBay and they're currently being rooted.

Sorry didn't get back here sooner. Was a little sweeter and wife thought it was a little melon-y aftertaste. I need to experiment with what is fully ripe. I think I'll let these two hang for a while longer. Not sure if they will start to shrivel but they do get soft and the little skin cracks. Heavy rains 2 days ago and no splitting yet.
