Atreano - Breba or Main Figs

I have an Atreano that I got last year, probably in the early summer.   It has grown big and was the earliest to start forming figs this spring.  After this first flush finished around June/July, I got a second flush that are getting bigger and will be havesting soon.   I am continually getting more figs from this tree and many are forming very low on the tree such as 4 inches from the soil line on the main trunk and along the same branches where the first flush happened.

Could these be breba figs in September or just more main crop figs?    I'm in the desert so I'll probably have another 3 months of growing season.

I had Brebas about 2-3" from the ground.

I got 3 Atreano and they had a Breba crop as now there is no main crop.
Here we had a very humid, hot, rainy summer. Could this be the reason for the lack of main crop?
Or since new growth is just beginning, could a main crop still arrive?

Figfinatic/Sal:

Very interesting developments.... Can't wait for your reported observations, which I'm sure will follow in the coming months.  Since you both have very long growing seasons, I wouldn't worry about this situation too much.  The tree is pushing figs, main-crop, and a breba crop, probably because climatic conditions are now at the optimum.

Sal.... Your last sentence tells all.  Your trees are just starting to push new growth.  In "tree-time"...it's the beginning of Summer.  You just might see main-crop figs this season.

I would just let Nature take its course, and see what happens.  In your long-season climates/areas, you'll get figs again next year, and, enough time to have them ripen.

I have read that some varieties, in the right climate locations, can ripen three crops of figs.  I grow "Atreano" and had some bumper, main-crop, in some past Summers.... but my season is very short compared to your climates, so I will never experience your situation.
