Atreano NOT !!! Need Your Help

I bought what I thought were Atreano cuttings on eBay in the late winter. They rooted nicely and here is the plant. Atreano ??  Not Even Close... I wrote to the seller and he has not replied. Very frustrating as this was one I looked forward to.
Will try again.
Any guesses??
Thanks

Coop,
It looks like Celeste...
Good Luck.

James you have a message.
Vito

The risk we run... sorry about this...

it is like having your newborn changed at the hospital, and coming home with someone's else's baby...

I have at least 3 of "not" the varieties told to be.  At least I did not pay cash for them.

All you can do, is nurse it one more year, if you dont like it, use for a root stock, graft another onto it, or pass it out to others who may like it..

\From the picture, it looks good to me.

Coop, Can't help you identify but the fig looks OK and it must be a great grower for a 1st yr cutting to produce like that!

James

We all can be deceived, it has happend to me too. But I say keep it if the fig is worthy! I am sure you will get cuttings from someone-mine is a baby or I would hook you up.

The more prototypical leaf shape is the more lobed leaf shape higher on the plant in this case. Those look like Mount Etna type leaves, though somewhat difficult to see, and that looks like Mount Etna type fruit. So it could be a Hardy Chicago or Marseilles Black and so on.

Check that: squinting at the the non-featured leaves, maybe they are more jagged than I originally thought. Celeste might be the right call after all. Would be easier to deduce if any of the more developed leaves were featured. Andhow did the fruit taste? Pure sweet would indicate Celeste, while some fruitiness (berry - grape and/or strawberry - or even cherry-like) would indicate Mount Etna type.

it's celeste my friend 100% sure

I have the real atreano I can send you, would you like to trade a few cuttings later this fall?

James, If you are going to be at the Oct 5th fig gathering at Tim's house. I have a real deal Atreano for you. It's too big to ship.

even better :)

Thanks everyone for your input. I am also going with Celeste here. As far as taste goes I ate this one a little  too early and it is also just a first year cutting.
Much thanks to Art and Vito for your kindness.
Rafael, you are right about a good tree is a good tree.
Thanks to you too Grasa and Tony
