I have had several inquiries from our friends to the north. As you know, it is currently $102 per shipment for the Ag inspection and Phyto. SO, here is the deal.

If you are in Canada and are interested in cuttings in February, send me an e-mail with the subject line "Fig Cuttings for Canada'.

Let me know that you are interested, and let me know if you can or would be willing to break up a group shipment and re-ship them to various fellow Canadians, and deal with doing the shipping, and working out payment for the re-shipment, etc.

In January, we will work every thing out and ship close to the first week of February.

I do not know what will be available, or pricing, yet. I will e-mail the list when it is available, and you will have a few days to place an order. Honestly, this will be a pain in the butt on this end, and for someone on the Canadian end as well, but for those who can get with the program in a timely fashion, I am going to work at accommodating you.

Jon, I am somewhat consolidating my collection. This means weeding out those that barely perform, lack of flavor, dropping too many figs and those whose taste are too similar. The good news is that many fig friends & suppliers like you have helped in making the collection I want & I am thankful. This will enable me to focus on the ones that are great & productive.

A few of us in Canada did a round-robin email exchange about your message as soon as the post appeared. Paully's email essentially describes what was the current feeling of these few fig enthusiasts who have been in more contact in the recent past couple of years.
It is possible that some others in Canada may be thinking differently and may initiate a process for acquisition.

Im 50/50 right now on whether I will try to attain more varities, but that rides mostly on what Jon has available in a few weeks.  If I cant resist, I can probably help with this venture(logistically speaking).
