AZRFG Fig Presentation

Last week I gave a presentation about figs at our local Rare Fruit Growers (AZRFG, AZ chapter of the CRFG) monthly meeting.

I thought I would share it with the forum. This forum has given me so much valuable information, I hope that this document might be useful to others!

Thanks VeryNew2Figs and Malikyusof!

Nice presentation and thanks for sharing!

How did the folks at AZRFG like your presentation any comments or questions?

Good work my friend! Thank you.

Thanks pino!

Yeah, the talk took about 45 minutes, and then there were about 15 minutes worth of questions at the end. I actually got recorded, and when MCC processes it makes it available, I will post a link to it here! It was definitely well received, I had a lot of fun with the talk and got a lot of good feedback.

Thanks leon!

Thats a very nice presentation, Starch. Yes, please post the link when you have it!

Thanks Smyfigs, will do!

Cool presentation. I finished reading it last night. It's succinct in compiling and explaining the basic info. in a compelling way. I wish I had this at the beginning; It would save so much time reading and understanding. I like it a lot. How are the MBVS doing in their adoptive households?

Thanks Dan! I appreciate that!

The MBVS trees have a mixed story. I basically sent them all out as Christmas presents, and so they were sent out in winter ... which was a monumentally bad idea. Some like the ones I sent to TN and NV were just fine and the plants are now 1-2 ft tall. But the ones I sent to MI and MA were DOA because of the cold. So I will get more MBVS cuttings this winter and send them out in the spring next year, which is what I should have done the first time around :)

Ahh. The old live and learn. I know them well.
