Baby Colasanti #3

These little guy has been a fast grower. I took a cutting of the mother plant late feb. this year put the cutting in a 3 gallon pot watered it and put a bag over the top as Jose has adviced earlier in no time this little guy was growing like a weed.

That is one happy plant and I love those leaves.

Hey Jim, it does have some nice leaves, this is supposed to be a white fig with red pulp but I have not yet gotten any figs on the mother plant. Anxiously waiting hopefully one day we can ID it.

In Case your wondering what that white stuff on the leaves are its dust it rained yesterday and washed some of the dust off. My office is in a truck yard with no asphalt so very very dusty.

I bought a similar tree in Windsor Ontario and when I went to collasantis I noticed they had the same one.  It was only labeled long white fig, but I have two figs on it so we will see how they turn out, it will be interesting how they compare to yours.

Interesting - the topmost leaf looks very much like Ronde of Bordeaux.

Here's an update

Sorry no ripe pix yet

Nelson20VT,
Thanks for the pictures and update.
The Description, leaves and figlet are similar to Stella.

Really nice leaves, the fig looks similar to Vasilika Sika too. If it gets enormous, it could be Stella. Looking forward to some ripe fig pics

hey nelson - great to see you posting. hope you and the family are well.
thanks for the update.
the one you gave me has yet to fruit...although it was looking like it was really about to explode from every node.....

fruit does look like stella or white greek (same i think?)

Thanks everyone, It does have one of those white greek, stella, dalmatie or vasilika sika sort of appearance and could possibly be one of them. My inground tree ripened one fig very late last year around Halloween and didn't taste anything special as far as I can remember but then again nothing did that time of year. It is very hardy my tree was 3 months old from being rooted when it went inground and wrap it with burlap and tarp and no die back but it does take some time to fruit for some reason.

I will take some pics of the ripe fruit.

Hey Eli, things are a bit better just started a new job 3 weeks ago so far so good.

Family is doing good, how have you and your family been?
