baggie method on other cuttings?

I am going over my wife's grandparents in a few weeks to try to collect more fig cuttings from his trees. They have other fruit trees that they prune down. Mainly I am looking at this persimmon tree. Will the baggie method work on Persimmon cuttings? I guess while I am veering off the figs on the fig forum what other fruit trees can you propagate from cuttings?

Grapes. Stone fruits. Mulberry.

Anything that you can root from a cutting can probably be done this way. If it can't be rooted from a cutting, it most likely won't work in a bag, either. My 2 cents.

Rooting a persimmon cutting is generally consider not workable, they are grafted onto rootstocks. I am not stating it can't be done and I have read that it has, just not a rooting friendly genus

Yeah I did find some more information about that and it pretty much is exactly what you said. Oh, well good info to have. I just figured if I can just grab a branch and see what happens why not.
