Barada fig

Here's a fig that came from an ancient village of Sidnaya, Syria. It's also known by "Assayleh" which means Honey fig. It's a small fig but delicate skin and very sweet. It didn't preform well in the ground in our area, but it seems to be doing great in a container. Excellent sweet taste.

Bass,

Those are the types of fig i miss from Syria.  When i am there all i do is eat figs.

Pete, I know what you mean. Figs have the best taste in their native climate.
I remember my grandfather waking up before sunrise and walk to the fields and fill the baskets with the best figs and grapes and bring it for us to eat for breakfast.
