I have had another post like this but no one answered it. Is the fig Bardacik self pollinating? I got these fig seeds years ago and it came with the gift of these seeds. The only problem is I couldn't germinate them in a wet paper towel
Where did you get the seeds?
Well, technically I ordered mini nut a few years ago and the seller sent Bardacik with it, here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/BARDACIK-Ficus-carica-100-FRESH-SEEDS-/222033643711?hash=item33b23c88bf:g:QRMAAOSwQTVWAnpC
You know what, never mind, the seeds won't sprout
http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/bardacik-5789112 Apparently it needs caprification to ripen, but all figs need a male pollinator to produce a viable seed. (As far as I understand the process). So even though common figs (Bardacik is not) ripen without a male fig, the seeds are not viable. Your seeds may not have been caprified, or they just went bad somehow, or they were fake, or ...
Bardacik is a symnra type of fig in Turkey and need necessarily polination to ripe fruits with wasps.
