Barnisotte

Good day, this PM while I was out picking figs, I came across several figs starting to ripen.  Here is one, Barnisotte.  In March, I drove down to Durio's Nursery and bought 2 of these trees.  At UCD, this fig was superb!  I am expecting great tasting figs from my 2 trees in years to come.  Both are in containers and doing fine.  This one fig is extra large.  I think the excessive rain we've had is causing most of fig so ripen and some to spoil like Paradiso and Salem White.  BUt that's the life of figs!  I can't wait to pick this bad boy!  He looks like he'll weigh 90 grams!!!!

Big, big, eye, but she's a beaut.

I want GRAMS, baby!  A big-boned, black, fig with HEFT and sweet tenderness!

Another opportunity for patience.

well, the rain has stopped and the heat is suppose to return this week.  So, I should have a lot of ripe figs this weekend.  Again, I hope they ripen before Monday!

Hey, now that I wondered back here on a search task...did those figs come out all right?
