Bass, Are you still with us

I've been watching the news and weather reports, and sounds like your neighborhood is kinda ugly right now.

I came back from a Trinidad on Sunday morning. The night prior there were very damaging winds. Some roofs were torn and trees were broken, but luckily no damage at my house. My greenhouse had no damage, just my plastic pots flew all over.
It was a big transition from Trinidad to Pennsylvania, Coming from a drought area, to a very wet and cold climate.
Thanks for your concern..

Lots of rain here but not as much as predicted. Surrounding towns got it worse. The reverse of the 13th when we got clobbered the worst. I'm waiting to hear from FIGNUT, Rhode Island has incredible flooding as well as Northeastern CT on the RI boarder. I hope Fignut is OK.

We weren't directly affected by the flooding, but thank you for the concern.  It has been devastating for a lot of people in the state.  Three sewage plants failed and a lot of the flood water is contaminated in the southern part of the state.  The governor declared a state of emergency - it's the worst flood in our recorded history.   That's saying a lot - we've had some pretty bad hurricanes up this way.  Some dams are still being watched.
A lot of businesses were affected.  The Warwick Mall was totally flooded.  Our unemployment rate is one of the highest in the country and this is going to put many, many more out of work.  It's going to take a long time to recover.
