I picked up a Battaglia and Verte last year as one year old trees. I finally got some ripe fruit. From what I can see the what I have as a Battaglia is not correct. All the pictures I found have a deep red interior. The Verte looks correct to pictures that I have seen and it had a jam taste that I have read about. Can anyone confirm the Verte looks correct and maybe guess what this other fig is?<br /><br />Battaglia?<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Verte<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

Thanks Rafed, I actually bought these trees from A nursery as a Battaglia and Verte.

The Battaglia definitely is mislabled. It is likely a Blanche or Florentine. The other looks like a young Verte. Pictures of the eyes would help.

This white fig looks more like a Marseille, St. Anthony, or Lattarula. The second one looks like a verte.

Thanks Bass, I have an Italian honey. I thought that it looked like that too. I thought it tasted a little different then IH, but I dont have any IH figs to compare for sure.

I don't know what this strain ACTUALLY is, but there are several others who have what appear to be an exact clone of that variety.  It seems to circulate a lot.
