BC#93: Fico Nera Napolitano

bump. not sure where my original source is, but it's growing very very slow. the tip buds were keep breaking, so i cut off two branches to keep only one that has strong tip bud. maybe it will give some growth this yr.

While I ride the pony, Martin is still chasing after the Unicorn.

I'd be happy to give Martin mine.

Thanks but no thanks Rafed ,when i inquired from the source these all came from it was conveyed it
came from stranger off the street in a simple trade.
So for personal reasons i must pass.

Martin,

Maybe one day you will get your wish.

not sure.. it seems like small fig is new thing among the forum members. most people still marvel at the large figs. with name like Fico Piccolino and it's been awhile not sure how many folks out there will have this one. most of the fig collectors should have found this forum by now and would have put some source to get one.

Martin

Hi nice  to  meet you
I am first here.
I am from south korea.
I want to get a chicago hardy. But i do not know how to get it.
It is possible to get it via ebay?

Pete,

All else being equal, I have always had a preference for the smaller figs, but that is just me.

Martin,

Do not give up hope.  I'm sure there is someone in the LI area who has one and does not know they are a fig collector, yet.  Maybe next years class field-trip should be an effort to locate BC trees growing in the neighborhoods surrounding the old nursery.

james, i'm leaning more towards dark smaller figs. they seems to have more intense taste.

i know there are number of people in korea that grow figs. my wife's parents used to grow one near busan back in 70's.

also i hear that are fig farms now days in korea. you should be able to find them in yahoo korea.

we also have some members who come on this forum from korea now and then.

I wish that Martin had accepted my free (non pedigree) spare rooted cutting back then.

This is how my "Napoletana Negra" looks like....

Marius ,
That looks fantastic.
How do you rate it among your other figs ?

I'm with Kerry. Pedigree or not, it looks like a great fig.
