I've seen people come and go from this forum. Sometimes they return after a long absence with some explanation of how their lives have been turned upside down and they have been unable to spend time with their figs or this forum. I have not posted on this forum in over a year, yet I offer no such explanation. All I can say is that it is possible to keep 60 or so fig trees alive, completely unattended for over a year in containers with an automated drip system. They are not in great shape, but they are alive. I gave them all a dose of MG and a handful of worm castings and I'm hoping for a good season.
Meanwhile, one of my in-ground trees needed some pruning. It is an Anna's Unknown. I do not know whether or not this fig requires caprification since it is an unknown variety and I do have the fig wasp in my area. I don't think I've seen signs of FMV on this tree, but I might have on some of my other trees. So, anybody interested? No charge for the cuttings; Just the shipping cost (I think $7 within US). I cannot keep track of responses here, in private messages, and in emails. So, if you are interested, please respond by email. Be sure to include you name and shipping address. If you have any other questions about Anna's Unknown or the cuttings, please post questions here.
