Anyone growing this fig?

Yes, might have had one small fruit this season, but don't remember. I'kk know when I go through the pix from this season - about 2,200 kept so far out of 10,000+. If it did have one fruit, it was not a stand out.

how do you keep track of what varieties they are in the pictures? do you write down the variety and the name of the file once you take the shot?

I heard this is the same fig as violette de bordeaux or negronne. was tempted to buy it first, but I changed my mind.

I pick the figs, and keep a list of what I pcked, They photo them in the same order, and finally, label them by name and number, and sort out the good ones. Last of all, they get photoshopped to clean up the background and size them for the web. At that time, they get a unique number and are entered in a master list with the picture number, and the original file/variety name. The "unique" number tells me if it is a large file, a 640x480 file or a thumbnail, all done in a simple format. That way the names fit into the templates for making the web pages.

Man, sounds of a  LOT of work!
Another reason to be very grateful to Jon....
