Before and after

Last night for supper we decided to have breakfast. Huh, say that again. Linda had the grandsons over all day and was whipped. She put together a grand feast in less time than Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals. In fact it took lest than 30 minutes to fix and eat.
It was a good excuse to try out some freshly put up fig preserve made with my LSU Gold (not), which was the first time I've done those.

Eggs, hash browns with Jimmy Dean sausage, toast, and the guest of honor, figs. Chased that with some ice cold milk.





The figs were delicious. They were lighter in flavor and texture than the preserves that I make with Celeste, but great just the same.

now you've gone and made me hungry! funny because I had breakfast for supper last night too! No figs though. Do have some fresh ones for this morning!
