Here is my Bellone unifère wich is ripening one fruit, if you look closely the fig has a guardian , enjoy..
What is that on the eye ? Is that the Guardian lol. Looks like your on your way. By next year this time you will have a nice size great production tree.
This tree will take a long time to produce, and a slow grower but worth the wait. Taste wise, this late variety is extremely hard to beat.
It's a spider on the eye.yes it's a very good ancient variety, i think when i will grow in the ground , it will produce not so lately.regards.JoF.
Last year Bellone was my No.1 tasting fig over many big names De la Reina, I258, Noir de Caromb etc.
Paully, How would you compare it to Kathleen's Black, Noire de Caromb or Maltese Falcon in taste?
I have not heard of this variety. Sounds interesting with its ancient history
