I would like to get your feedback on the best figs in production and performance for the Northeastern gardeners.
I would like to know your opinion.
What is the most suitable among white fig?
What is the most suitable among Dark fig?

That is the best performers in our short season, humidity, and cold.

The Best 2 crops:Marseilles vs black
The best white, one and 2 crops:None of the figs tasted so far performed excellent,to date,here in New Jersey.It does look as ,that white figs need longer Sommers to ripe fruits of high quality,compared with black figs.
I have a few new white ones,and maybe next year i will post a winner.
This are the informations coming out of my Backyard,others may have other varieties,as winners,so please post.

My best white fig was "Brooklyn White", it never failed to ripen its crop and it's an excellent tasting fig.
among dark fig, " sal's fig", and "dark portuguese" for production and flavor.

Yes.
I do not want to rain on your parade but Brookleen White from you was very poor performer,here, with figs that split and sour,and the taste was less than average at best.
It looks like it can't be at all near rain while getting ripe.
It is very productive indeed,but every fig will split,and have very little flavor and taste.
You shoud get, your standard expectation higher,no Offense.
Better than Brookleen white in my garden There were:
Lindhurst Wht,Quarter Pounder,White Marseilles,all white figs.
Desert King had Excellent flavor and sweetness but it is only breba in our climate.

 
And I am sure there are others better than,the whites i have.
Right now i am Trying,Gene Paradiso,Bataglia Verde,JH Adriatic,and Vasilika Sika.
I am sure i am going to come out with a white winner next Sommer.

On Long Island your Brooklyn White never split and is very good
