Bill's Figs

Hi I am considering getting a couple of trees from Bill's figs but live 15 hours away and he doesn't ship.  Curious to know if anyone has made a long trip out there or setup any shipping on there own through freight etc.?  I would really like a large tree in a SIP and after reading some posts he seems like it might be worth the hassle

Bill's trees are really good. 15 hours is a long trip, though. Where do you live?

He carries 3 different sizes 1 Gal I think is 35$  5 Gal 45$ Full size tree 500$.. He carries a huge assortment of trees. Don't expect to see any semi rare to rare if that's what your looking for. You will get a beautiful tree if you do decide to go through with shipping.

Here is a list of reputable sellers that are also members of Figs4fun and Ourfigs

These guys are much better equipped to handle shipping.

Thanks Sal. Ako1974 I live in central illinois

Bill's small trees you might could ship, the bigger ones are not appropriate, too expensive and too large. Some of Bill's figs are actually very hard to find and unique. An example: the Battaglia fig, not available at any nursery and highly desirable variety. I bought mine from Bill. You should also get a primer on fig shipping so that you pack your trees correctly.

I'll have some stuff in the fall available for sale.  Not sure if you want to wait though.  Will bare root so shipping won't be a lot.  Most of trees are 3 or 4 years old.

I should have been more clear Rafaelissimmo. In no means did I want to imply his stock isn't incredible. I personally bought 3 trees from him and will be going back for one more. I just want people to know not to go there expecting to see Black Madeira's

This is just about a 6footer I sent out with FedEx the price was very reasonable
