Pete, thanks for posting that link. I had read through that thread repeatedly over the last months. This winter I had in ground Kadota, Texas Everbearing, Banana, and Binello, but not Binella. Binello (Gallo?) a 1st year tree fruited early and relatively heavily. Eventually, a nearby Banana (2nd year tree) fruited a little, I think 5 figs. The 1st year Kadota and Texas Everbearing did not fruit. All came back from ground dieback.
I doubt the Banana fruited in time to ripen. Will see. Here is a photo of the Banana:
The unripened Banana figs are smaller than the unripened Binello / Gallo? figs. The unripened Banana figs are maybe comparable in size to the unripened Mount Etna strains. The Banana figs appeared much later than both the Etna and Binello figs so possibly the unripened Banana size will increase somewhat?
