Ok Dan. What does that receipt represent?
We had a deal. We were going to meet in Wash., DC and split the figs that were left in Gene Hosey's yard. I had already agreed with the person who bought Gene's old house that we'd pay him $20 for each fig plant we took. We both agreed it was a good gamble.
You didn't show up. I had to load all those fig trees into my Jag with my dog in the pouring rain and drive the 2+ hours to my house.
I then kept the plants long enough for them to recover as they had been neglected as you were told long before we agreed to split these plants. Then I let you pick the varieties you wanted as you promised if there were a few I wanted you'd send me air layers of them (this turned out to be a lie). Then I went through all the hassle of sending them to you bare root because that's how you wanted them.
I paid the shipping as you were going to pay the shipping on the plants you'd promised to air layer for me (which after many many months of being told they were doing great you finally admitted they didn't exist).
We also agreed that since I did all the work you would compensate me with certain varieties I was looking for (which of course you kept promising but never sent).
The problem is all your promises turned out to be lies. Of the 4 air layers you promised me and kept telling me month after month that you were or already had shipped all I ever received was one Black Madeira plant you had to have Barry send to me from his collection.
I was foolish enough to trust you and sent you 5 more trees from my collection (not trees from Gene's yard) and 2 sets of cuttings.
After many months of you refusing to return emails and phone calls you did finally send me some cuttings but they weren't varieties we'd agreed upon and they weren't in the numbers or condition agreed upon either.
After trying for many months to get you to even discuss this you only sent absurd emails claiming things like the few Macool cuttings you sent were worth absurd sums on Ebay, etc. You were extraordinarily dishonest and arrogant and I was foolish enough to believe many lies you told. I see you for who you are now and I've noticed others on this forum are beginning to understand just what a risk it is to deal with you or even waste the time to talk with you.
You have your own little forum now and after trashing this forum and trying to bleed it's membership why are you back? Is it because no one wants to be associated with the kind of trashy ethics you represent. Posting insulting things about my mother and me on your forum goes to show just exactly what kind of person you are. And the kind of people those who serve as moderators of your forum are. And for your information my mother -- who lives with her husband in SC -- is welcome to live with me if she ever wanted or needed to as she is a classy lady. And you'd be well advised to never mention her again.
So yes you sent me $200. That paid for the 10 trees from Gene Hosey's yard.
How about my air layers from those varieties I let you pick that you promised me?
How about the air layers of Maltese Falcon, Vasalika Sika, and JH Adriatic you lied about for 7 months. Yes I did get a Black Madeira from Barry. But the other air layers you told me were doing great and were either just shipped or would be shipped the next week turned out to have probably never existed. It was only when I finally confronted you about it that you admitted there was no air layers to send.
And let's not forget the 5 other trees and 2 sets of cuttings you received. These were trees you asked for from my collection and I was foolish enough to send you -- and pay shipping.
And what about the Sicilian Black cuttings and for that matter the Vasalika Sika cuttings you promised when you finally admitted that air layer failed -- after being told for months it was thriving and would be sent "any day now."
Your list of lies just goes on and on and I'm getting bored of this and realizing just how foolish I was to trust you as much as I did.
You are a skilled manipulator - there's no question about that.
And yes you did finally send some cuttings but they weren't what we'd discussed or in the numbers promised. Perhaps I was lucky to get anything at all as you did not keep your word about anything else.
So, when you think you are being cute claiming I got my Binello plant from you it is just pathetic that you have the audacity to even show up here on this forum with even more lies. You never sent me a single plant. Some cuttings, but not a single plant.
I know who you are now Dan and even though you are skilled at deception and play your game very well you made a mistake stealing from me as I'm not going away. I'll be growing and collecting figs and letting folks know who you are well into the future.
But I'm not your worst enemy - not even close -- you are your worst enemy because you truly believe you are smarter and better then everyone else. Eventually you'll do this to someone that will care far more then I do.
I don't want anything to do with you and the things you took from me are trivial in the big picture and I don't care about them. I do, however, care about you ripping off other forum members and as long as I'm here to warn folks I know you'll have to behave.
Now go away and leave me alone. Your toxicity is putting me off my feed.
Go brag about your collection and your amazing fig growing skills to someone else. So far all I've seen you do is fail to grow every air layer you promised you were growing and send cuttings that weren't the ones agreed upon. Perhaps the ones agreed upon were in someone else's collection and you don't have -- how many varieties is it now? 250, 400, 500, 600, 1000 - The number goes up so fast I get dizzy.
Here's an idea; why not collect a few other ethically questionable characters and start your own forum. That way you can say anything you want and flocks of f4f members will come join you and you can rule the fig world.
