Jon,  I printed out some fig pictures on the black background, and there was so much ink on the page that the paper warped.  I had to insert scrap paper between pages and weight it down to dry.
Any chance of "print versions" with white background, or is that a major deal?

Photoshop your heart out!! That is the only solution I know other than a color laser printer.

For the newer ones that have a clean, black background, changing the background to white (or some other color) is relatively simple in Photoshop, and probably several other picture editing software programs as well. For ones that have less than a "black" black background, it will take a little more work.
