Has anyone had Black Genoas this big? They are massive!

Hey mic sorry to go off topic but are jaboticaba trees common in your area? my aunt has one in florida and they are such beautiful tree with yummy fruits... the fruits grow on the tree trunks... would luv to grow it here but my zone(5) isn't ideal.

Not a black Genova and not a breba, it's my UNK # 2, they usually are 180 to 200 grams good producer, sweet and most of them don't split, all this in zone 6a growing in ground on south side of brick wall.

Beautiful fig Mario! That is one of those fine figs without any markings or bruises, perfecto!

Did you have to hammock it due to the weight? Also , do you have picture repository of all your figs? If so, genius!

Yes Matt that was a hammock and yes I am working on my pictures, it will take a while have over 200 varieties

Hi jaylyne,
No they are not common here, I think they are native to Brazil. I don't know much about them but they look amazing. I know some grow them up north in the tropics. What do they taste like?

zone 5, yes that would be a challenge. I admire your efforts in growing figs in such a short growing season!

They are whoppers! Thanks for the pic.

Richie they are huge. I've a black Genoa but never had a breba from it nor a giant like that. I'm obviously not trying hard enough.
