Here are some sprouting cuttings from this Black Greek from Chios from Marius. They have some of the healthiest, prettiest cutting growth I've gotten.
These were started less than a month ago and some (not in photo) are already showing roots at the soil surface. These were started in plant bands directly in 1:1 perlite/potting mix, kept humid, and (once sprouted) under artificial light. They are shiny because they were just misted.
I'm looking forward to growing this variety - the weather in Chios is relatively similar to ours here on the Pacific coast. Of course the same could be said for many other figs from Mediterranean regions. :)
