Ruben,i have White Triana,Noir de Caromb,Black Greek and Latarolla cuttings for you in fall.Just remind me. Marius
That would be awesome, Marius! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for the pictures. Here is the largest of the rooted cuttings I got from Marius this spring (April?) of this lovely Black Greek. It was very easy to root, and the plants produced are very vigorous. Our climate is quite similar to the island of Chios where the fig is from, so I have great hopes for it. I am very happy to have it. :)This young plant is in a 5 gallon container and is about 2.5 feet tall. This photo of the same plant shows figs about an inch long. They did not appear till after I pinched the terminal bud.
The cutting I received from Marius is similarly vigorous. It's already in a 3 gallon pot and is probably the most vigorous of the cuttings I rooted this year.
Is this "Black Greek" fig also known as: "Aboukounis Black"-"Chios-C" that originated/sold by Belleclare?FrankCan anyone add updated photos and information, please....
Not sure. This has been a great tree so far and I'm looking forward to tasting figs from it this year. It seems like it has put on quite a few. It was a very nice tree just one year after starting it as a cutting. I have it in the ground now so we'll see how it holds up.
Downright handsome tree!
Nice looking tree
I salivate when I see pictures of the ripe fruit. :)My young trees have some fruits this year too, but they are still small.
Black Greek is excellent. It was one of my best last year, even though it was small. I love the big, beautiful leaves and tasty fruit that has a good berry flavor. Mine is loaded with tiny figs so far. Crossing fingers the birds and squirrels fail to notice this.
I love seeing trees full of fruit!
There is a Black Greek that originated from Pezzuti that is reported to be excellent. Wonder whetherMarius Blk. Greek is similar to Pezzuti's.
