Trying to grow curtain roots like strangler figs. It shot one root and it reached the soil...now it sent out another one... pretty neat, I thought I should share.

Maybe it is good to top container with more soil
It does that for a reason. It might happen that the underground roots are rotten or the conditions are too wet and it is trying to survive by adding new roots. You have enough room in the pot to add soil and cover the new roots.
Guys, she wants it that way. Looks great, Grasa!
I would add a little more soil so those roots don't dry out and die.
Good job. It's always a great feeling.
When I grew bonsai trees we called the aerial roots - very coveted in bonsai growing
Add more soil and watch it take off!
I did add more soil.. this is a very healthy plant (knocking on wood!)
This happened to my little black mission, I cut below the roots and made them into two plants. Both are doing fine.
Wow Jimmy! I've had those air roots dozens of times. Never thought to cut them in half and make two from one!Suzi
