black ischia AD

This is my black ischia AD, a cutting I grew from Rafed this past winter. I left 3 figs on it to ripen just to try and I was totally surprised at how good it was for a first year tree. I know a lot of people believe this is not the real black ischia but more of a violet de bourdeaux type. I agree it is closely related to vdb but this one fig was better then any vdb I grew so far.
I'm not good at flavor profiling but this one was a little figgy,  sweet and thin skinned.

Thanks

This is what Jon, the seller of this fig, said about it in a previous thread:

Yes, it's a good fig, but I personally didn't want yet another VdB.
This fig really should be called Unknown Black Ischia AD.

Thanks gina, I have a few vdb types and I can very well see this black ischia AD replacing most if them, as of now anyways.
