I was wondering if anyone has an extra black ishcia that originates from ucd that they would like to trade. I have quite a few good varieties I can trade. I know these trees usually have fmv pretty bad but I'm not to worried about it. I have 1 black ishcia ad already but I would like to try the one from ucd. If any one can help just pm or email and I can tell you what I have to trade. Thanks

Black Ischia AD is not the same as the BI from Davis. I have them growing very close to each other. Leaves are different, coloration is different...  The 'AD' type is a nice enough fig but more of a VdB type, but not the 'real deal'.

Sorry I don't have extra, I just got mine this past winter after wasting a couple years thinking I had purchased the real thing from a reliable source. Oh well, that's how it goes with figs and their names.

I've read that before, and I've heard that the "ad" is really good that's why I don't pass up the chance to get it but I still would like to find the real black ischia.
