Last year I ordered several different fig varieties and one was suppose to be Black Italian.  It has 4 figs on it this year and yesterday one was drooping (my understanding is that this means they are ripe -kind of new to figs) anyway I have a turkey fig that got me started with figs and that's how I tell with it anyway.  Anyway the fig was drooping and I pulled it and it was sweet and had a nice flavor however its anything but black it was more of a honey gold color.  I have read on here that a lot of the times the first figs a new plant produces isn't like what they will be when the plant matures but I'm wondering if Its gonna change that much?  Did I get a black Italian or is it something else?  I don't have any way of putting pictures on here or I would post one :( whats yall's thoughts?
