So the mowers ran over my Hardy Chicago, cutting off all the leaves and figs so I won't be getting any figs from that this year.  They did however replace it with a Black Jack tree that has figs on it.  This is the first fig I got off of it.  Really surprised at how big they are.  I was worried about ants being inside though because they do have an open eye and I did see ants on the tree.  Opened it and didn't see any bugs so I ate it.  It tasted like the purple figs I've bought from the grocery store (not sure what variety they are), just bigger than them.

They ARE on the bigger side.  I had a ripe one a couple of weeks ago and have 2 more getting ripe now.  Thanks for sharing the pics.
