That looks great Ed!! Plant looks clean and plenty of figs on it. Please let us see pics when they ripen

Better than pictures, why not send each of us one of the figs?  ;)

Nice looking tree and fruits.

Hi Ed
Looks good,I have one that will ripen figs this year and can't  wait.
The RDB is doing great thank you.

Angelo, how are the other black madeira's doing?  Any figs on them?

Ed, I have two BM .   They both are doing great. I have about 15-20 figs between the two of them. They are in 5 gal pots right now and not displaying any signs of FMV even though the cuttings were from UCD. Figs are larger than a quarter as of now. Hopefully they should ripen in about a month or so.   Angelo Zone 7A NY

Good job!  That one is on my UCD order for 2013!  Amazing Fig~

That tree looks great too Angelo, can't wait til mine starts producing, hopefully next year.

Thanks BLB ,I've been lucky so far with BM. It rooted easily and grew nicely. The catch with BM is that it may require a lot of heat and a good growing season in order to produce ripe fruit in the northeast. Anyhow I feel it is worth trying being it is a high quality fruit.    Angelo Zone 7A NY

You both (Ed and Angelo) did a great job of growing them.
Congrats!
I'm hoping someday to have one myself.

is the quality of BM cuttings getting better? or the skills of the members to root the cuttings and growing it getting better? it seems there are lot more success with BM now days then before.

they look great guys.

Not the best pictures but here is the first ripe fig from this tree.  All I can say is wow.  Angelo took some better pictures, I will try and get them from my e-mail.

Awesome! Nice work!

Thanks Ed for sharing.

I had one ripening but it turned out missing. I thought the tree rats got to it but it turns out it was POPs all along.

Need to know how to get back at him? Hmmmm

Ed , Thanks for letting me try this fig. I was equally wowed. One of the best along with your rockaway green. My B Madiera's are starting to get ripe.Easy to see why this fig is so highly rated .   Angelo NY Zone 7A
