We Georgians really need to have some kind of state program for boutique figs. We have, in our way, one of the perfect climates for such figs in the southern areas of the Piedmont. Not that wet, good altitude, etc...
Wow Mike, that baby tree appears to be in perfect health. One spot on one leaf, and from the pic you can't tell if it's a mosaic spot. Good work!
Calvin, thanks. I just looked at that spot closer and it doesn't look like FMV, not yet anyway. Its actually almost a whole through the leaf for what ever reason. It is close to a couple with FMV so I assume it will have it eventually.
Anyone have black madiera for trade? I hope I am not derailing the thread much.
Nullzero, I wish had more but this is the only one of two that is doing anything. I don't have a tree just the two cuttings.
Newnandawg, Congrats on the healthy new tree. Don't worry about not having any to trade, I was just inquiring because I heard great things about this variety.
