The first Black Madeira is ripening. That puts it just under 4 weeks ahead of last year. If they are all 4 weeks early, it is going to be a really good year.
The entire season seems to be early, and looks like it will also be shorter. We have had 4 40-50 degrees swings this season (spring and early summer) where it has been in the 50s one week and near or over 100 the next, and then back to 50s, which has made many things act very differently. Asian pears which usually have only a half dozen fruit have a hundred or so this season. Che which usually ripens in Oct is now ripening. Oct apples are also ripe. Jujubes look to be 2 months early.
Figs are definitely early, but many do not have much growth this season: some a much as 75% less. Many won't have enough growth to take cuttings, unless they get another surge of growth.
