good looking fig but the real joy of any fig is the taste. I rather like this one

How in the world did you get a ripe one this time of year? BM/FP fruits late enough it's possible to imagine that it would hold on the tree over the winter and finally ripen now. I pulled off unripened fruit in December to give the tree a rest but perhaps should have left them on?

AltadenaMara-Figworld is from down under Australia, they have different seasons there.

I think so too. my only regret is that it's not a big plant yet.

I usually remove left over figs as well. but the fig in the photo is from late summer
that means I've got a long wait now till the next instalment. winter starts in Australia in 3 days time. it's gonna be cold!

intensely rich & delicious, I notice it's on your wish list. I thought black madeira & figo preto were one & the same. is so that doubles the chances of finding one, right?

I'm glad it tasted well for you!!
Yes, BM and Figo Preto are in my Wish List. I was able to root BM and it's growing well, so I need to update my Wish List, some of the varieties I root them this season.
There's a lot of discusion about BM and FP beign the same tree or not, I will like to try it for myself.
